RS or Turbo front calipers on stock brackets

Post by tzedek »

is it possible to swap an RS or turbo Leg caliper onto a stock n/a front bracket? Id like to go to a two pot front, and ceramic pad but I want to keep 14" wheels. anyone know? or what about wrx calipers, those can be had pretty cheap

I'm pretty sure the bracket-caliper mounting is different between the n/a Leg, turbo, and RS/WRX, so none of the calipers and brackets are compatible with each other.

the early wrx (02-03) front calipers are the same as the rs fronts. the difference is that the wrx has a braket that moves the caliper further out allowing the use of larger diameter rotors. i have no clue about turbo leg calipers.

i'm not sure if they will bolt up but i assume they will since i mounted rs front calipers on the front of a 93 1.8 impreza.

the problem will be fitting the wheels. i'm not sure if 14's will clear the rs brakes. are they 14" steelies?

I am fairly certain none of the Subaru 2-pots will fit under a 14.
