What 5MT AWD will fit a 1995 Legacy SW ??

Post by feathersjr »

I'm looking at a SW that needs the 5MT rebuilt/replaced. I thought I look at the local pick a part first, might find one that would fit. Since it is a 2.2L, I thought 1990 - 1996 might work. Any one know for sure??
TIA,

The tranny should physically fit from a lot of different n/a models. What you need to verify is the final drive ratio. I would guess the 95 legacy has a 4.111 final drive ratio like the 90-94 MT n/a AWD legacies. However I would recommend verifying that first.

In addition, the 95 may have an electronic speed sensor in the transmission. So you'd have to swap that over from the old transmission into the one from the 90-94. But that shouldn't be a big deal.
