HLA/Valve cover question

So i replaced my valve cover seals (w/ bolt seals obviously) barely a month ago. I bled my HLA's at the same time. When i did it i soaked all the HLA's in oil when i put them in but in my hurry failed to bathe the rocker assy. in oil before replacing. Now im having an occasional, under boost only (when quickly raising or going above 7-8psi it will not accelerate at all just sputter and no CEL's) , clicking noise seeming to come from the drivers side head causing it to hickup and missfire. I recently read if you can move the rocker arms when installed they have air in them. Now that i think of it i remember being able to move some of the arms and im thinking they got air in them when i bled the HLA's. Anyone have thoughts on this?

My question here is how bad of an idea is it to re-use those nice soft rubbery valve cover seals i just put in if i were to pull the rocker assys. again?

I reused mine and just used a coating of loctite flange sealant (the pink stuff) on both sides of the seal. No leaks yet.
Just make sure all oil is removed from application surfaces

Did you bleed the HLAs or just put them in oil? You have to displace the air and refill with oil. The rocker assembly should be fine since that comes from your pump and isn't a sealed chamber that can trap air.

You can probably reuse them. Although a set was only $20 or so. As GT said use a gasket sealer. I use the high temp red crap that they sell at autozone/advanced auto. No leaks are good leaks.

yes i depressed the valve and got all the old nasty oil/air out of them untill i couldnt see dark clouds coming out anymore and replaced them in the rocker assy.
