Have you ever been pulled over?

Post by redlineracer »

Are you tired of the cops in your town? Do you get BS tickets that you have to pay like $400 for that ticket and you get pissed cause that money could have went into your car? Well, lets do them a favor and take a pic of your car next to your city/state cop car and post them on here! All you have to really do is either park next to a cop car or get your car club and surround the cop car with your lights on the car. Then simply take a pic. I'm sure they will give you permission if you ask. So we can re-name this the Cops Hall-of-Shame. If you get a really good one like a rear view shot of a cop car with its lights on in your rear view mirror or side mirrors coming after you would be a PLUS!

No, never had to pay more than the minimum (and the charges were dropped).

What were you doing?

Twice in over 8 years of driving. Speeding both times, and ticketed both times. 43 in a 35 in high school and 78 in a 65 like a year ago.

Considering how fast I normally drive I'm pretty lucky.

Last ticket was in 1990 (yeah, I know thats older than most of you :) ).

How many times have I been pulled over since then?

About 20....... Hey, I was only guilty 3 of those times!

I'm sorry to say that I've had my share of run-ins with the law on the road and otherwise. It's funny too because my father was a Justice of the Peace and my mother was a police officer for 25 years. Not a patrol cop but an officer. I've lost my license, hit one deer, had one serious accident and one fender bender of my own but I've come close to death two other times with other people driving and once on my motorcycle. Through it all, I've just been one wild and crazy motherf*cker...

ETA: But I'm a dependable guy, I generally like people and am pretty creative, at least with music...and words.

I guess I've been fairly lucky and fairly cautious over my driving career. I've been driving about 10 years I've been pulled over two times I think. Once for speeding (warning) and once for having a headlight out (warning).

I'm trying not to add to my record now that I'm driving this damned turbo subaru :-D

My ticket for that was assessed at 156 dollars. Fuck the police

My dad (the actual owner of the car at the time) took it to the prosecuting attorney and it was dropped...

A few years ago got pulled over coming back from Whistler. When the Mountie said I was doing 120 km in an 80 zone, I said "Well Officer you might have got me for speeding, but thank goodness I wasn't going fast."

He paused and then said "That's a good one, but you'll get the ticket anyway" :-)

Who hasn't been pulled over -- seriously. Lets see, in my 'short' time with a license of ~5 years I've:
* Never been in an accident / fender bender. Yay for USAA and low rates!
* 2 speeding tickets (I blame the first on SLIGHTLY's Saab and Everett pigs. The other was freaking $450 on a podunk Oregon back-country highway)
* 1 stupid ticket where I hired a lawyer and got it off my record (thank you Jeannie Mucklestone)
* Pulled over numerous times by cops looking to find something wrong, but never did. Heh, this one time in Kfalls I "looked to be in a hurry" on a snowy road. Cop pulled me over and asked if I was drinking. My response, "Nope, not yet officer" :-P. Heh, I had made a run to the store to get drink mixers.

In the 7 years I've been driving I've...

Had two accidents. One a small fender bender from pulling out behind a blind turn on, retaining wall completely blocks the view of the road both ways where there is another road that turns onto the road I was turning on, on the direct otherside of the retaining wall. Me and the other girl just happened to turn onto the road at the same damn time going opposite directions... The other accident I had a large jacked up pickup pull out right infront of me with nobody else on the road and there wasn't room to stop, lost my BC to the a**hole.

No speeding tickets and only once been pulled over, for being in a National Forest recreational area after dark (not supposed to be... psshhh...) but no ticket there either.

I have never gotten a ticket, amazingly enough. but I have been pulled over numerous times, my best one was when I got pulled over for "poaching" hahah. Me and my friends were driving on a country road in WI at about 12:30am and I saw a car drive on the highway about 100feet in front of me and I saw the sheriff decals on the side of the car, I said, shit I bet we are going to get pulled over. I got onto the highway, and the car was gone (he had slipped off into a side road somewhere) so I just pulled out going about 15mph till I saw headlights turn on down a side road and I pulled right over and waited. He came up hand on his weapon very very nervous, once we told him we were researching wolves he calmed down when he saw out radio telemetry equipment. He asked if we had been drinking or doing anything illegal and asked if he could search the car, I told him no we weren't drinking and no he couldn't search the car (no probable cause) he said ok and we bullshitted about the wolves in the area. good times. We were actually all kind of baked and that was the last time we brought pot with us on a howl survey

I was sweating bullets thinking that I was going to get some crazy $500 ticket, but since it was 2am on a deserted highway in the middle of Idaho I got away with a minor dent in the wallet.

I know, I have run into them and called the cops on them. One fucking asshole had a wolfs radio collar in the back of his pickup. I miss WI. I wasn't upset at all for the cop to pull me over
