Here's some pictures of the flooding in Washington. This was in Chehalis. I was standing in the Best Western parking lot.

I didn't cause the flooding-- I've had a weather station thing and on Saturday morning finally set up the rain gauge. This required an open place and the sender has a built-in leveling system. To make sure it was working I poured in a little water.
It read .25 of an inch and it was working--and then it started to RAIN
By Monday morning it was showing 2.5 inches, Now we got a lot of rain in Vancouver but it's usually slow and steady. Up in the nearby mountains it was like 5.5 inches--thus the flooding.
Quit for a while, but in the last 24 hrs the gauge is showing 1.73 and it's still raining.
But to look at the good side, the outside temp is 42 F so it's snow up at Whistler
--forecast is for lots
