OMG I have the best girlfriend ever!

Post by entirelyturbo »

So I've been with a girl that I met off Nabisco, who owns a 01 2.5RS. We actually met about 2 years ago, but she didn't tell me how she felt until late in September of this year.

We were "seeing each other" for a couple weeks, and then, the night after the Subaru Challenge on October 21st, we made it official that we are a couple.

Fast forward to tonight, when she came over with a "surprise." She had asked me last week what kind of cake I liked, and wouldn't let me ask why, so I knew something was up.

But I was NEVER expecting this!

She calculated that at about midnight tonight, we would have been a couple for 555 hours.

She seriously has just made my whole weekend. I've got the biggest stupid grin on my face right now. I even got to eat the 80's symbol!!! :-D

Wow. . . I'm like totally confused.

Don't get me wrong, my boyfriend is the most amazing man I have ever met, and he knows that, and I try to do stupid-sweet things for him, and he has never complained about them, but I, as a girl who's grown up surrounded by males, listening to what they say about their girlfriends, if I would have thought about 555 hours of being together. . . and yes, I understnad how important that number is. . . but I, too did some calculating, and that's not even a month of being together, how come you guys don't see that as being sinister or daunting or such? I guess you guys knew eachother before then, granted. I think what the rest of you guys wrote is awesome, it's just completely different from the reaction I would have thought would be given. So if you're disappointed in the hat you get cause it's not cool enough, make sure she knows you're not gunna think a cake is overbearing or clingy. If you ask me, any present is a big step for a girl to make, because it's anwsers like these. . .

. . . that we're terrified of getting, cause it's letting you down or it should have been something different.

Alright. . . the soapbox has washed away.

That cake is awesome, in every aspect.

Yeah, if we weren't all Subie fanatics, we'd be thinking:

23 days? WTF? WAPCE

But yeah, I hear ya Laura, I feel bad for both sides sometimes...

I loved the hat when she gave it to me. Hell I'm wearing it right now. It was a great gift. I was just amazed at the creativity you displayed in your gift. It's not that the hat sucks or anything. And a hat will last alot longer than a cake would anyway. Especially around me.

I love my girlfriend for who she is. The nice things she does is an added treat. And she knows this well. Sorry if I offended you.
