Gaskets: EJ22 vs EJ22T

Post by TheSubaruJunkie »

Are they the same, primarily the head gaskets? I cant see why the valve cover gaskets or oil pan would be any different but just had to ask. I might be getting a '93 Turbo Wagon and it will need cam seals and valve cover gaskets. I can get a headgasket kit off ebay pretty cheap but it lists it for the EJ22, doesnt mention EJ22T.

I think the head gasket may be different, but the other gaskets I don't think are different.

Head gaskets are different. Everything else the same. And there is no oil pan gasket. Just sealant.

There is a oil pan gasket you can buy. The one I have, IIRC was made by Felpro. You don't need to use it though. I've done them both ways and no difference.
