some interior lighting ???

i was driving in my 90 bc and i hit a pothole which made the backlight come on behind the hazardlights. do the hazard lights on the 92-94 have a backlight? i just had my dash apart and i dont feel like doing it again just for a light. it may be just a 90-91 thing. my 90 bc had mirror controls that have a backlight while my 93 didnt evan have a spot to put the bulb like the 90 did. i swaped the lighted one to my 93, it comes in handy to have a backlight. thanks for the help, Jim

Yeah, I have mine backlit in my '93. The hazard bulb blew in my '02 Impreza too, so maybe they're just a bit quirky

. You have to disassemble the switch to get at the bulb, if it's at all like my Impreza. and it's a pain to change it.

You know I just happened to notice on mine that the hazards button wasn't illuminated any more. I could've sworn it used to be......I guess if I get ambitious I could replace it.....

My rear window defogger light is out - that is ok, I know it is beside the cruise light that is on..

wow i feel really left out here. i just sorta assumed that subaru cuts costs by skimping on the backlamps.

according to this thread there is a lamp behind the hazard. ok mines out.

my 93 isnt lighting up the defogger/cruise buttons, are those burnt out as well, or was that only a 91 thing (like the power mirrors)?

and while were on the topic, has anyone noticed that the pretty much useless small lamp that comes on only when the car is running on teh driver door. in other words if the ignition is off, but the accessories is on, the lamp will still be off.

it would be nice to have real lighted window switches

Oh yeah, I discovered that the teeny light that shows that the trunk is open on the little top-of-car display is out. Guess I better tear my whole dash apart to go fix it (yeah, sure

NOW I know why I wasn't being told that my alternator was getting ready to crap...

My battery light doesn't come on anymore!!!

Neither does my "STOP LAMP" light work either. For some reason, I noticed the other day when my ignition was in "ON" with the engine off that all my lights weren't on, those two.

No I am not going to fix it, not worth my time...

well I see that many of you have had bulb out problems...have any of you had all the bulbs in the middle go out? and is bulb replacement that hard or would I be better just fully replacing the middle?

one of the speedo lights is out on mine. Down by the beginning of of the speedo so it doesnt really matter cause its not like i go that slow

Wow, it looks like I have a few lights burned out that I didn't know about. It looks like my Hazard switch is burned out, and it looks like my Defrost and cruise might be burned out (I really havn't looked yet). I know that one of the instrument bulbs is burned out (the one above the tach). I also have a few lights burned out in my radio, but I don't think I really want to replace them.

I also have the lights in the footwell burned out (I still don't know if my car came with them or not, I can't find them)...

wow! i didn't even know that we had lights in those switches!! in that case, my hazard, cruise, and defroster are out.

i took out the switches and sure enough, there were bulbs in there.
where am i gonna get a bulb that small?? I went to a local autozone and i couldn't find bulbs that were that small.

my defogger and cc and mirror lights were all out. I replaced the bulbs now, so it SHOULD be better when i get my interior back together.
