Oh....I've had some days I've been so freaking bored.....I would have loved to be doing work.

Those days have for the most part passed. It is however slow around here for the holidays. Now until the new year will be slow.

of course I'm getting paid, my ass is in the building lol. I'm supposed to be writing a technical manual for advanced operating procedures for the machines that we have out at GM. Its a total pain in the ass. I have a screen simulator running so I can actually browse through the machine screens on the HMI which is pretty cool but I basically have to write a bunch of bullshit like how to run in automatic, manual, tool changes, setup, and how many steps and such. I hate it!

I used to do that kind of thing as part of my job. I didn't mind it but it can be mind numbing.

Wish I could say the same. They've been working my ass off here lately. Oh well, makes the day go by quicker :) They block Myspace and Yahoo! so I cant check my mail or messages, but they cant block this forum :P

well what pisses me off is that its not my job, and i'm not one of those "its not my jpb" people either. this whole damn project has been the bastard child of this company and they have left this unwanted devils spawn at my doorstep. We have a technical writer but because this machine has been modified so much from stock and the program writen for it 3 times now nobody except for me really knows how the machine runs. And I only know because I'm the poor bastard who has had to deal with this project for going on 3 years in january! normal machines take 6-7 weeks to be done and everyone else here at the company gets to move on to new projects all the time. If they werent hanging the metaphorical carrot in front of my face in the mention of a big promotion I would have left already. I still feel that when I'm done with the project I wont get the promotion and the'll fire me to boot.
