Bad motor.....

But came with Alpine Head unit, full Boston Acoustic speakers front and rear, and a Nakamicki PA-304 AMP!

I didnt even know about the stereo until the guy called up and said "Sorry, I forgot to give you the face plate for the Stereo. By the way, there is a $1000 stereo in there!"

Rebuilt the replacement motor tonight.

doesnt look rebuilt does it?

New rear front and rear seals, new heads gaskets, NEW pistons and NEW rings, new cam seals and its good to go.

PS.

this is the base motor that went 13.6 @ 101 mph!

So I finally started it up today.

2nd turn of the key, and bingo! Ran and idled perfectly. LOUD clicking noises. I hope its valve train......

Then the stupid mutherfuking idiot move I have done in years,......

Forgot to install the damn axel nut on the axel I replaced! Borked the driver side wheel bearing!

Damn

but it runs.....poop,,,

Then....

$0 and a few hours later I have a new wheel bearing and am driving it around! Yeah!

Got lucky, and a buddy had an extra wheel bearing sitting in a cabinet and owed me a favor. Went a visited an old V-8 guy with a press and swapped them out!

Wagon needs some love, but other than that its up and running! Now I will go out to DEQ tomorrow and get some tags!

And the stereo is pretty bumping..... :)
