Bought a Turbo Sedan about 6 month ago with a broken axle and wheel (when axle came apart it broke the inside of the wheel, nasty)
Anyways, changed the oil and replace the axle, brakes and rotors. Then the car sat for like 3 months. Well we finally got some free time so I had the mechanic pull the motor, and he drained the oil and it was like chocolate shake. WTF?
Any ideas where is could be coming from?, Anyone else see this problem in a turbo? headgaskets looked ok, didn't seem to overheat but only drove it a few miles, and the oil that came out originally was black and dirty, but so signs of antifreeze, so I don't think the original owner took time to change it before I bought it.

It could be condensation. Anytime an engine sits for a while like that, there will probably be some condensation built up inside the engine, which will make its way into the oil and make the oil look like that.
Don't feel bad, I changed the valve cover gaskets on my XT, and since I wasn't in a big hurry, I left the covers off for a few days. Once that was done, I changed the oil and it looked the same way. I freaked out, thinking I had bought a car with blown HGs. But the engine is fine to this day.

Yea I'd guess condensation, just be sure and really look at the oil the next time you chainge it, see if it looks the same.
92 Legacy Turbo, 5sp MT, Early Large CC 20G heads, Ported custom clocked td04, Cobb catted DP, Injen SS 3" exhaust, Turbosmart MBC @ 10psi, Apexi 20g intake, custom FMIC, Fidanza 11lb flywheel, stock 05 WRX clutch
Well you'd probably have noticed if it was the head gaskets in the first place. I'd guess some kind of condesation like subytech and subyluvr suggested.
Where is the engine now? Do you plan on reinstalling it or what?
