Why does my clutch pedal spring keep coming off?

Post by thefultonhow »

My clutch pedal spring came off about April and was annoying as hell to put back on. Went home for Thanksgiving and it had come off again (probably while my brother was driving the car).

I haven't put it back on yet, but how can I get it to stay? If at all possible I don't want to have to do this every 6 months...

Maybe the spring has a small portion busted off of it, so it's not clipping in.

You are talking about the spring on the clutch pedal, and not the one on the clutch fork arm...

Yes. The one that makes it so the pedal comes all the way up. As it is, it's resting at the top of the engagement range and screwing the clutch up even more than it already is...
