I has problems with headgaskets... when we took cyl heads off... we found cracs between spark and exhaust valves...:

drivers side head also has the cracks, but they are in "early stage".
Is it time to start panic?

No panic necessary, but it is time to start looking for a set of replacement heads. They can be fixed, but it's not worthit.

now Ive never seen those cracks in an ej but there are plenty of cars that commonly have cracks in the combustion chamber and its common practice to run them as is. ea82's, 5cyl audis, etc
