anyone done delta cams with the engine in the car? should be doable by the looks of it but wanted to hear from anyone who has done it. tips for success?

I'm pretty sure you have to remove the heads, at least one of them. One has the opening on the front where you can remove the cam but if I remember correctly, the other is pulled out on the firewall side.

maybe I could pull the engine off the mounts and rotate/move forward a little.
definitely not pulling the head off, would rather pull the motor.

yeah, but I dont want to buy another head gasket as well when there's maybe 10k on them.

which is easier, buying a headgasket or pulling the motor?

Ive got other reasons to pull the motor so it will probably happen that way.
