craziest thing Ive ever found in a car is a large, fancy swiss army knife buried in oil crap on top of the intake mani of a vintage volvo I used to have.

I found a 2-cell Maglight and a digital tire pressure gauge in the rear storage panels of my 98 Forester. I also found like 8 or 9 valve stem caps in the spare tire well.

I find garbage in most of the cars I pull from. :( some of it is interesting, most of it is just wet and icky.

I will say that my $200 ride originally came with a nice (wet) jacket and a bottle of Cool Water Cologne in the trunk.

I found a printout of a Conneticut law regarding resale of used vehicled without airbags in place and how its not the sellers responsibility to inform the buyer. interesting. This was in my current tubo wagon. I doubt it has airbags.

I found a baby toy in the trunk, then in that Multi box under the trunk liner I found what looked to be the power from an exploded/sprayed (dont know which one) fire extinguisher.

when i was at the auction lot last year, i was looking at a 86 bmw 325 with only 72k miles. opened up the trunk, and the mouse ran from its nest in the center of the trunk.
opened up the glovebox, and another nest.
bought the car, cleaned it up, sold it in a week.
the mouse trap i out in there had been triggered, but i never did catch the mouse.

my civic-found a complete doctors leather medical bag with scapels and all, previous doctor owned.

93 SS-complete keychain with keys under seat, vise-grip pliers in trunk, some wheel covers and a electric dog collar thing.

93 infiniti parts car, a few sockets, el-cheapo variety.

My dad used to work at my grandfather's junkyard. What was his best find? A LAW rocket launcher. You know, the ones that extend like a telescope from the 'Nam era. I think they're still in issue for certain things.

 All I need now is some ammo!

I found some Legos with change in my Legacy. In another I found some crappy pliers and a curbed alloy 4-lug wheel in the spare compartment.

i found a handmade broadaxe underneath the cargo carpet pushed all the way to the back where it attaches to the seats in my 91 wagon... had it checked out by an expert and supposedly its over 150yrs old :o

Image
also, the wagon has complete service papers... and rifling through them i found some papers from service stations showing it's been up to Nova Scotia twice (coming from Pennsylvania is a looooong ass drive) and also some assorted maps of canadia

edit: also, 48 pens were found throughout the entire vehicle.
