Retimed the car and it still will not start? Will changeing the crank gear that holds the timing belt affect the spark by giving a week signal to the cas?

this may sound compleatly off the wall and retarted but have you checked to make sure that you haven't blown a main fuse or left a ground dissconnected? it sounds to me that if you have your timing right then you've left somthing simple undone and you just need to go over everything with a microscope and some patience.

Yah I checked all the fuses in the engine bay and they looked fine. Also when doing a head swap there is only one ground going to intake manifold right. Also if I am using a 95-96 crank gear would that cause a week spark, or could it be a bad cas?

I don't have much experience with the whole head swaping thing as well as what pullys/gears work where so I can't really answer those questions, sorry :( My advise would be to compair the new gear with the old one, if they have the same number of teeth and are the same general size with the same sensor referance marks i would have to say it would be ok. Subaru likes to use lots of grounds and i haven't relly dug into my engine bay so the only one i know for sure you should check would be the main ground at the starter bolt/bellhousing bolt and just make sure there arn't any miscalanious wires hanging around anywhere that look like they should go somewhere.
