Ya, I suppose Kelly should do fine. My leaving was OK, no bad feelings or words at all. I gave my two weeks and finished what I could. It was just time to move on. I might be going through my "Im almost 30 and should start my own shop" phaze.
Yeah.....I've been going through my own "I'm almost 30 phase". I'm so unsettled and antsy it's ridiculous......a lot of it is stemming from the job....but it carries over to my personal life too.
whats even worse is being over 30 and still not having any direction..... thankfully for me I just got a promotion which I havent had reason to announce on here til now. I am now the "Project Planning Manager" for my company. I am leaving the world of "Field Service Engineer" for ever!!! At any rate, I went through the same thing when I was around 25 and installing car stereos for a job. What a mess. Getting the oportunity to work for a company that gave me the room to grow with was the key to my success. Your goal should be to imagine where you would like to be in 5 years and do everything in your power now to get you there. Good luck with your future endevores.

I'm now in the "mid-30's, how do I NOT do this for the next 25yrs" phase - But I just got a promotion too (Senior Engineer) and next year I move to 4 weeks vacation! It'll be hard to leave that for a while.... plus I need the security as my son grows (biggest drive I have for success in my professional life)

I feel you. I am in a similar place, but decided that I didn't have it in me to start a shop. Instead, I am in the process of buying out my boss and sending him off to retire. It's the best of both worlds because I get an established business with a reputation but still get to take the business in the direction that I want to going forward...
oh, and I am 35. It took me a while longer to get there, but that happens when you drink away a couple of years in the process...
