WOW those head bolts are stubborn

I got them off after a trip to a closed home depot. I couldnt budge the bolts using a smaller breaker bar and figured I needed the 14mm impact socket so I could use my impact gun? Home depot was closed, so I went home and started to look around....

Well, thats a nice 5ft piece of 5/16" walled aluminum tubing. A little muscle applied here and there and they popped right off...

FYI, anyone considering one of those cheap 750lb engine stands - get a real stand.... What a piece of crap....

Now I have to find the allen wrench to fit the piston removal plugs...
Anyone know what size it is?

I have so many freakin tools, but never the ones I need.... :?

I just used a bolt that was laying around that had the right size head on it, with vice grips for a handle. :wink: I love making tools out of stuff laying around! 8)

I did the same thing for the coolant drains. I would suggest grabbing a grade 8 if there is one sitting around that fits. I snapped a grade 2 when I tried using it.

I have a grade 5 set - no grade 8s - should work fine anyway.
Im going to try this in the next few mins....
