head cc's and aftermarket pistons. calling mr.soul

Post by azn2nr »

i remeber a directory of the cc's of the combustion chambers for the various heads from subarus but i cant find it.

also does anyone know what heads the wiseco stroker pistons are measured from for their 8.5-1 rating?

isnt 8.5 to 1 teh factory turbo leg ratio?

also whats better. higher comp ratio or higher boost?

i blew my ej22t dohc motor up this week i am getting the wiseco pistons (non stroker ver) my compression was very low with just sticking the heads on, it was a strong motor and yes you can run a shit load of boost while being safer.

Wiseco cannot answer that question and I've asked everyone I can on that end. They originally told me they made that piston for the Austrailian market, which made me feel like the 20G/20K heads would have been what they used to calc ratio. But considering the austrailian market never got the 2.2t this makes no sense.

SO: I'm no help with respect to answering your question directly, Instead I will share specific combo's we have successfully used. And I have to do this later.....more to follow :D
