Proven performance numbers

Finally found my dyno sheet from almot 2 years ago, i'll post the numbers now, and i'll get the pic up soon

This is before the full exhaust, and before the injen intake. It was also the day after my MSD DIS-2 install. During the run my headers began to glow red and smoke it did this for a few days, then went away (glowing included) I think the ecu was heavily retarding timing.

Anyway my numbers were:
1)102hp@4750 114.7ft-lb@4250
2)103.4hp@4725 117.5ft-lb@4250
3)105.0hp@5450 115.4ft-lb@4200
(FWD 4EAT n/a ej22)

Big power numbers eh? I was really unhappy with the guy running the dyno, almost seemed like he wasn't sure what he was doing... there wa also no fan on the front of the car.

No fan on the front? Thats kinda silly and asking for troubles. I've had mine on the dyno quite a bit lately (not for good reasons either) and they all did it basically the same, but one actually made sure the fan was blowing into the scoop otherwise the intercooler doesnt do a thing.

Last run was 154kws atw on 22psi , not good watching the boost climb like that. We took it off the dyno straight away.

206 hp at the wheels, about 275 at the crank. Aren't those stock numbers for the twin turbo?

If you are then no they aren't the stock power figures. 206kws which is 280hp(ps) is the stock power for a manual twin turbo . Mine had 184kws(250hp) at the flywheel stock (autos are detuned) and now has about 220kws(+/- 10kws) so around 300hp at the fly.

Um wasn't really a good run but it also made a fair bit of power, just used way to much boost.

How much do you think is stock for a Twin turbo automatic in kws atw?

You can take the flywheel number and assume 25% loss at the wheels for AWD. So take the stock flywheel number multiply it by 3/4 or .75 - and this will get you an estimate. To go from wheel horsepower to approximate flywheel multiply the number by 4/3.

So our USDM Sport Sedans have approximately 120 at the wheels. 30 hp per wheel...

Does it really matter what power the car makes at the flywheel? At the wheel figures are much more important, well to me anyway. Flywheel figures just generally sound better.

That formula is great but doesnt take into account gearing, automatics and a few other things.

I think you could probably look to see a little more then 25% for AWD drivetrains
