FS: 92-94 EDM Glass Headlights

Post by ericS2the6 »

Mint condition. Like-new, very little use. *Now on Ebay!*
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EDM-SUBA ... enameZWDVW

These are EDM (not JDM) and are for proper use in North America (LHD vehicles).

These have city lights and are equipped with electric levelers. The levelers do not need to be wired. The headlights can be aimed manually like normal.

These lights are for 92-94 Legacys only, will not fit 91's.

$350 shipped, professionally packed. Ready to ship. Paypal only.

Aah, I see. Thx.

I would love to have them but, unfortunately, I cannot afford that much.

Oh, for the benefit of everyone, can you describe the beam pattern, light filling, etc? Do you happen to have pics of it shining down the road or the beam pattern shining up against a wall? (It might just be what's needed for someone to buy them.) :D

So, is it like putting in 100W bulbs in the USDM lights?

Sorry, I wish I had taken some pics.

I did a comparison of edm vs us. heres what i noticed:

first off the color is whiter. this will be more noticable depending on how yellow your plastic lenses are. I cleaned mine as much as I could (they looked clear) and still the light was much whiter from the edm.

the cutoff is sharper and is curved slightly and continues on till it abruptly ends (like a second cutoff at the far side). this provides more light on the road and less glare, however as a result, there is actually less light at the extreme far sides.

when looking at the car during the comparo, and having both headlights aimed properly, it looked like the us one was aimed to high and had considerable glare.

this was while running a custom 12 gauge headlight harness and phillips +80% 60/55 watt bulbs. with that setup, HID equipped cars appeared only slightly whiter and brighter on road then me. All other halogen equipped cars looked insignificant in comparison.

Sounds impressive!

Can you explain this a bit more for me, please? How is the cutoff curved? And, when you say the extreme far sides, do you mean that there is less light to the right and left of the car than the USDM lights?

And these use H4 bulbs?

looks like an H4 from the back....

So these are probably the best thing for our cars as far as headlights go, right? I cannot find any clear lensed headlights (no shaping ridges on inside of lenses) for the 92-94 legacy that would enable a HID or halogen projector retrofit.

edm maybe in my future, most likely not now.... but future Good luck with the sale, I'm sure someone will snap them up
