Personally, I wouldn't have painted the shifter trim red, but the rest of the interior looks VERY sexy. +1 for excellent photography.

Those seats look very supportive. Certainly better than USDM WRX STi ones. Are they from a special version (Spec C, etc.)?

The shifter trim isn't actually as bright as it seems on the picture. When sitting behind the wheel everything looks balanced. Nevertheless I recently put some carbon finish on top.

The seats are from a Japanese STI Type RA Spec C which don't have the blue inlay (thank god). The drivers seat is mounted on the passengers side and I had to convert the other seat to fit a LHD car. I lowered it about 2/3 inches with custom fittings. That took me a whole day to do including fine tuning the driving position(can't move the seat neather up/down or forward/backward)

Do you have pictures of your custom fittings? I'm curious how you lowered the seat... I've been considering doing something like that myself.

I did make some pictures with my mobile :)

Only the drivers seat (RHD passenger seat) needs to be converted due to the height. The passenger seat (RHD drivers seat) can be fitted with almost no trouble at all.

Image

First seperate the mounts from the rails. This requires an hour of drilling, hammering and screwdriver force. The mounts from the original Legacy seat will replace the higher STI ones

Image

Make an aluminium plate to connect the seat to the mounting bracket. First find the right driving position by editing steepness and height.

Image

Make sure both sides line up perfectly. Also take measurements to see if the mounts still fit the orginal holes in the car

Image

Lightweight but still very strong. Both sides only require 4 screws: 2 big onces on top and 2 small onces at the bottom connecting the original rails.

Image

Done! You'll probably have to reposition the safety belts buckle but that's a piece of cake.

Image

As you can see the passenger can adjust height and move the seat forward. Mine is fixed but that's ok: i'm the only one driving it. Notice the bottom of my seat is steeper. The driving position is rallye-like but still comfortable :)

Awesome ride and +1 on the photos. The pic of the water drops on the exhaust looks really cool. Wish I had those seats.
