The turbo is a Deadbolt modified VF34. Exhaust housing is thermally coated, turbine is coated for antilag and the exhaust section is HEAVILY ported for high RPM operation.
Im using an AWIC core with an... unusual radiator setup. Not saying anything about it just yet til Ive figured it all out. Also going to be running meth/water injection
I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I am really happy to see my old RS-RA put to good use. But seeing all these pics and this build makes me miss it and regret never doing the build myself. Oh well. You can't live in the past, and I wouldn't be settling into my new home without the $$$ I got from that engine. Splinter paid my closing costs.

Yeah....you can't live in an RS-RA engine
Nope but an old friend used to say that you can't race your house, but you can live in your car. I don't think that would fly with the fiance though. It's all right. My '91 SS has got her humble little Ej20G, and that's good enough for her...

Did you find a way to get the yellow paint pen off the gold valve covers without removing the anodization? I was worried about borking them so never tried...

No, and they werent anodized, they were powdercoated.
I stripped them down to the bare aluminum and they're getting re-coated with EXACTLY the same colour (did a bunch of samples on similar metal). Then the top surface off the fins is going to get planed off by my buddy (hes got a machine for resurfacing heads and stuff, we're using that)
