crazy boost

Post by chumleyj »

so I just got my 92' running...vf39...3 1/2" downpipe....32X12X3 FMIC...and the boost control selenoid is hooked up exactly how it shows in all the diagrams...the bottom going to the resisnator that was also made from scratch but no leaks....the top going the compressor side.... and the other to the acuator....the thing is I hit 26 psi...yes the car rips like hell but is not to safe to break in a fresh rebuild...I ended up just going to actuated boost for now...my question is...might there be something wrong the boost control selenoid? I also noticed in the diagrams the "union"... would this make a difference? or durastically make my boost come down? I would like there to be no codes set....let me know someone...please....

Why trust the stock ECU to control boost?

Use a simple manual boost controller to handle boost. It won't throw a code if you leave the solenoid plugged in.
