Front end creaking and thumping

Front end creaking and thumping
Recently i have been noticing a thump and then bad creaking coming from the front of my car when i go over bumps or drive down bad roads. Any ideas as to what this could be? And also, off subject, i am looking for an upper strut tower bar, but cannot seem to find one made for my 92 Legacy sport. Is there a specific other model and year that will fit?

Bad strut mount, bad balljoint, bad axle, bad control arm bushing... it could be a dozen different things. Get under it and look
