90 Subaru legacy died

Post by subarunut »

Hey guys I hope someone can help me.
My 90 subaru legacy and I were driving down the highway here last friday night and out a nowhere bang she died.

Rolls over fine no timing belt broken no spark and no fuel.
I have no power on the center yellow red wire at the coil.
What can be gone to shut down both fuel and spark.
I tried another igniter no difference.

Thanks From Alfred.

Do you have power elsewhere in the car?

I have power at the console and accessories.Everything else seems to be in order.Except for spark and fuel.
I popped off the timing belt cover and rolled the engine over and the belt seems fine. While cranking the car she seems to crank fine no loping of the cylinders as if the timing is off.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks again

Alfred.

Check ALL the fuses in the fuse pack IN the engine bay. I had the exact same thing happen. You can see the fuse parts through the top of the fuses.....

First thing i tried was fuses in the car and under the hood.
All good.

Timing belt may have skipped a tooth or two, the MAF could be shot, it could be a number of things.

I take it the CEL is not on?
