I have the "power" locks. I have done the "fix" on the remote. But, when I close the driver door it still locks and the key will not open it. The cylinder only turns a little. You can see the rocker trying to move and can also see the rocker is not fully depressed either. I have to open up the passenger side and pull the handle to get the driver door to open. I'm pretty sure I did Gary's fix properly, but it did not seem to fix my issue.
I've poked around the various subie sites and the only reference I have found is that maybe the linkage rod need to be "straigtened" to lengthen it a tad.
Is this a common problem? Any suggestions?
Thanx
Mike

I would venture to say something in the linkage is not right.
Have you tried taking off the driver's door panel, and have someone turn the key while you poke around in the door to see if there is any binding in the linkage?
If not, I'd recommend doing that.
