97 impreza 2.2 transmission - what will i need to install?

97 impreza l 2.2 5mt

I can pick one up pretty cheap - it has some miles on it, but I *possibly* plan to replace the gear set.

Does anyone know if this is 3.9 or 4.11?
Is it a pull or push type clutch?
Will I need to pedal swap and/or install a clutch master?


Anything else I need?

if its n/a its cable. but if its turbo then its hydro i think.

I'm pretty sure the 2.2l Impreza's came with 3.90 gears, that way they could not pass the 2.5's (4.11) too easily!

Yeah - there was a post by Fuji on Nasioc - the 97 impreza is a 3.90. Not sure Im going to swap - thats more work than I want to do right now..
