welding on the car - what to disconnect?

Post by gto7419 »

So, Im going to try to repair the damage cause to my fender by another genious who hit me....

I have to weld two holes shut - one is about 3-4" long, and one is about 1-2" long.

I will obviously unplug the battery - should I disconnect the ecu? Anything else???

Thanks,

Danny

I just disconnected to negative battery terminal when I did my welding. The ecu was fine, because you create an incomplete curcuit with that terminal off.
