Some people have gotten lucky, like I did on my old car. Some people rub with a 205/55/16.
Most of the problems I see with rubbing are on the pre-facelift Legacy's.
Like I said, a 235/45/17 fit in a 17x7.5" wheel with a +48 offset on my 94 Sport Sedan with Impreza AGX's.
A 225/45/17 RE070 fit on my stock struts.
I DID roll my fenders.
Because it fit on my car does NOT mean it will fit on your car.
A 235 on a 7" rim isn't a great idea, but it's not a bad idea. I've seen 275 width Hoosiers on 2004 STi wheels (7.5" wide).
whats the biggest rim that can fit on 1991-1994 legacy

Would it be possible to fit a 17x8 ET48 wheel when using GC struts?
I was kinda looking into the Rota Boost wheels, and they don't come in 16" sizes or anything less than 8" wide......
