Post by Yukonart »

So the POS Bangbus (that'd be my LGT) is heading down Thrusday night. . . I'll be in Portland (and the vicinity) for three full days. I expect to see EVERYONE out there to see this. There are 77 cars registered. . . apparently the largest turnout in YEARS!

I'll be the guy with the neon vest and media credentials on stage and in the service area taking thousands of pictures over the weekend. ;)

Anyone have a copy of the game, Oregon Trail?

I'd love to get that game again!

Everyone gets disentery too.

We played it in the 5th grade.

The game came out in 1985 on the Apple IIe. MACC was the producer, if memory serves.

I had an Apple Emulator on my old computer, and I'd play that game for HOURS. I bet I still have the files and such. If I do, I'll post them online for everyone to download!

I remember shooting 1 squirrel once. You gained 1 pound of meat.

I also remember killing a buffalo. Like 396 pounds of meat, but you can only carry 100lbs. What a crock of shit. Make more than one trip!

I'm heading down with a few buddies on Friday. Anyone know which spectator viewing areas are better than others?

Saturday is the best viewing wise, in my opinion...there is one spectator corner that's like a R2 tightens down hill, so you get to see some pretty sweet action there...

Do you know which viewing area that would be? I have a few from the OTR website, but don't know which are best. First timer here, so let me know. Thanks.

Essentially, just go to the designated spectator areas as mentioned in the spectator bulletin...afaik, there is only one designated spectator spot per open stage...

Derek...if you make it to service during the rally, come try to find me...I will be with car #438...Blue race suit...

I always like meeting fellow LC members :D
