I am doing a 4EAT->5MT swap soon and wanted to put in a few shifter upgrades. I am trying to do this on the cheap, so no $250 STi short-throw for me.
Mainly I was looking at changing out the bushings for polyurethane bits.
It looks like the rear shifter stay didn't change any, so that should work for all of them.

Though from what I can tell, it looks like the front shifter bushings and the lever pivot bushings changed throughout the years.
Am I correct in the assumption?
What parts work from other shifters?

The rear stay bushing, and the bushings that go between the shifter arm and transmission can be used from the newer models.
So you can use what you linked to and these

Hmm.. I should infrom the manufacturer of this fact, then.
I emailed clint from TiC, and he said they wouldn't work, but everything I've seen on here has said the opposite.
I guess he's just not very familiar with the older stuff......

you should also replace the centering spring.
here is my "review" thread about the part:

it made a HUGE difference in how the car shifted.

Ask him why they won't work.
The only thing I had to do was add a washer as a spacer so the metal bracket would hold the bushings tight, but I thought it was an isolated incident due to all my swap/conversions

I will grab a new centering spring while I'm at it.
Eh..... I'll just wait until I get all of my various shifters in my possession and figure it out. Then I can tell clint when I see him at the dragon.
