05 wrx rear sway bar, and diff protector.

Post by HellBinder »

i upgraded to a whiteline rear sway bar and i dont have the ability to modify the skid plate to work on my legacy.
First off, these will not fit with out some modification.
For the sway bar to work in a 90-94 legacy you need a pair of rear lower control arms from somthing 95 and newer, and also to modify the spare tire carrier for clearance (will be posted on my build up next week). The sway bar does come with end links.

Im not sure what this skid plate came off of, came out of a pile that used to be a forester at a junk yard (rear diff protector) it looks oem to me. Im not using it because the front part where it bolts to the four 14mm bolts on the cover plate is about 2" too wide.
If anyone knows why or can tell me what is is by just looking at it, feel free to post up.
Buyer pays shipping via USPS
Im asking $20 a piece OBO or trade. Im moving in afew weeks and they'll just get taken back to the junk yard if they dont sell.

Rear diff. protectors come with hardware including spacers that fill in the gap you're talking about. In other words, get the correct hardware and it will fit your car. Download the following document and you'll see what I'm talking about. The instructions are generic enough to apply to your car...

sorry for taking so long to reply,
the sway bar is off a wagon, but the sedan and wagon are the same. It is the thickest OEM sway bar available. (not sure about STI)

I'll go back to that forester and see if i cant find anything that resembles spacers, if i can find them they'll go with the protector, its also alittle too wide and does not clear my 3in exhaust.
