grrrr CEL help

Post by ramathorn »

okay well i just cleaned up the wiring on my 95 impreza to 93 ej22t swap up and now i have a cel. i also did a DIY intake and fixed some of the ghetto-ness of the saab tmic.

anyhow i started it up to check and see if everything worked properly and sure enough it diddnt. cel popped on asap. i let it idle for a couple minutes to see if it would turn off and diddnt. after it warmed up it idled better than it did before but when you apply the accelerator it bogs down and almost dies :x . if you apply the gas gradually its fine and dosent bog at all. since it could be about a million different things i was wondering how do you pull CEL codes on obd-I? or if anyone might know what the issue is please chime in with what you think maybe causeing the problem.

click on "legacycentral main page" then look around the technical documents. It tells you how to pull them and what the codes mean.

fixed for sure this time. when nate did the swap he used the 1.8L tps plug that only has 3 pins and the one of the wires was just jammed in the extra pin hole. replaced with a legacy 4 pin and runs like a champ.
