Subject line says it all.
Never noticed before because I mainly drive durring the day.
when i realy flog her the headlights begin to dim last 1000 rpms before readline to practically non-existance at redline.
My First though was "Charging system" so I went home an broke out the multipull-diget reader.
At Idle with headlights, heater, and stereo going got a nice solid 13.59 volts. No change when I blipped the throttle.
Tried to convince a friend to ride under the hood and read the multimeter while I accellerated down the road, with no success.
Anywho. Alternater seems to be ok. any suggestions where I should look next?
thanks in advance!

Sounds like the voltage regulator (alternator) cutting too much power out of the higher speed range.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
Re:
Hello there. My friend is also experiencing similar situation like redlined and its kinda troublesome for him. You mentioned that the possible cause would be the voltage regulator and I'm wondering what is the possible solution to fix it. Does my friend need to replace it with a new one like a bosch voltage regulator or can it still be fix? Hoping you could update me about it. Thanks in advance.evolutionmovement wrote:Sounds like the voltage regulator (alternator) cutting too much power out of the higher speed range.

Voltage regulator would need to be replaced, I'm not sure if Legacy alternators have it on the outside or inside of the alternator, if it's on the inside you have to disassemble the alternator to replace it and might be better off just buying a new alternator, if it's on the outside it's super easy to change.
