Wow. Simply wow.

Dippin' on a GT3 and an Aston Martin in a VW bus. I thought my Fox was all that and a bag of donuts until I saw this gem.

Mega props to whoever did it. Not only for out-driving some amazing sport/supercars, but to do it in a van that holds 7.

About 10 or 12 years ago (maybe earlier) there was an article in VW & Porsche (maybe European Car , which is what the name later changed to) about a company that sticks 911 engines in VW buses. I'm guessing that's their handy work.

reminds me of the top gear episode with Sabine Smitz, she got a Ford Transit Van around the Nordschleife in ten minutes eight seconds, wich is a decent time on the Nordschleife in a sports car, she actually passed a sport bike like it was standing still on her practice lap

that bus is cool.

There are tons of swaps for VW busses and vanagons now. I helped my friend swap an EJ22 into his Syncro Vanagon (tons more power and reliability than the "wasseleaker" 2.1l motor)

Small Car has all the SVX swap parts (mmmm flat 6), which has like 2.5x the torque of the stocker.

Lots of wrx and even Sti swaps now too.

I'll be doing an EJ25 swap into my '85 Vanagon weekender, hopefully next year. My stock motor is a wheezy 1.9l (~80hp/105ft lbs)... not good for hauling 4000+lbs around and up Mnts. 2x the hp and about 60ftlb increase will be welcomed :P . all with better gas mileage!! (I get maybe 20mpg now, and should hit 23-24mpg with the EJ25)

That bus driver is crazy though - motor or not - vans sit WAY up on the air! hahahaha
