I started it yesterday!!!!!
Runs crappily b/c of the broken front o2 and the Blitz BOV, but i got those swapped over last nights, back to the OEM bov and a brand new o2, was too late to drive it, b/c my exhasut is still just the DP, until i can get it over to the shop and welded on to accomodate the Nurspec.
I have a video but i dont think i have the prper cable to hook up my older camara.
When i did drive it, wow, spooled quick, the 06 2.5 legacy clutch and flywheel didnt chatter and was really comfortable, engaged nice and easy at the top of the pedal.
I'll get some times up as soon as the track opens or can get to a dyno. but i covered the 80ft parking lot out here in less than 3 secs, untuned. I'll try and gegt a video of it by the end of the day.

got an 06 wrx rear sway bar and locating arms, and i decided to use an oem dp and exhaust until i can get it tuned and reflashed for all my extra goodies.
Also i have to trim alittle off the front and rear 5mt cross members to accomodate the 3in exhaust when the time comes.

New tank and rear struts in, also did the rear sway bar locating arms, too bad i now have to beat the spare tire well in about 2.5in to clear the sway bar. (thats what my jack is good for)
Put the oem dp and rear cat on to quite it down some until i can get my exhust hangers modified and properly tune it up.
Did a home made ground setup with 8 to 4 gauge wire, it smoothed the idle out and responds quicker to the p/s switch
Car runs like a dream, no problems, 40psi at idle and up to 45 at starting and full boost. (cheap fp gauge)
Now i just need a boost gauge and a sceem to setup my temp to read correctly. the wrx uses alittle more voltage variation for the sensor and the ecm interprets what it see's then has one wire from the ecm to the cluster i dont know about the voltage at the cluster, from the ecm.
I'll have pics and video's up this afternoon

Temp gauge works!, I just wired it up to the gauge from teh ecm and ran the motor at idle, about 3/4 the way up the gauge the fans kicked on and it stabilized the temp
Iv also got front and rear whiteline sway bars in the works, with links and bushings, also a WRX passenger seat, and lowering springs to go on the GR2's.

i hate fuel cut.
I got the interior installed today and have acouple loose wires to tie up before i bolt the dash down. Picked up an OEM lamco boost gauge and mounted it on the column, ive been driving it further and further down the road each time.
I got it on the snap on scanner today and it flashed acouple codes,
1 for evap fuel tank solenoid open curcuit- fix it by grounding it
2 IAT too high- fixed another ground and it fixed it.
3 fuel temp sensor voltage too high-i need to get one installed from my old wrx tank
4 no speed signal-not sure???any idea's?anybody?
now iam looking at FCD's to fix the fuel cut problem.

I got a 95 all electrical cluster to wire up and electronic sender for the trans.
friday i should be able to get it to the race track and run some times.
Minus the blitz bov, dp and blitz exhaust (cant afford a piggyback yet).
Fixed all but the Evap emissions curcuit open code, doing more to see what i can do to trick the computer into thinking its opening an closing solenoids.
Iam also going to start a write up with some compiled pictures next week, just going over interpreting the harness, whats actually needed, and where i ran the wiring ect.

What did you do about the clutch system? Is it from a USDM WRX, or a JDM car?

I used an 01 Legacy 5spd, 3.90, with a legacy 2.5 flywheel and 2.5 TOB, disc and PP. and a usdm slave, just had to make up some new clutch lines and use the RHD push rod in a usdm clutch master (LHD/RHD pedal hieght is different).

here's the install of the rear whiteline sway bar off a 03 WRX
Also installed the front whiteline sway bar and the steering rack urithain bushings.+ all the aluminum endlinks.
And a shot of the 10hrs of wiring i did today, upgrading the cluster to a 95 legacy sedan..
Electric speedo,and everything.
For the rear sway bar i had to cut and hammer alittle, but i still have enought room in the spare tire carrier for my full size spare.

took it on a 5 mile test drive, to the race track and back, i was planing on running but the track was closer for prep for sat racing. But i put the 3in dp and the middle Blitz pipe in, so its not too obnoxious.
It runs great, hovers around 190-201deg, the fans only kick on for like 45 seconds before it gets cool enought and they shut down.
The car takes precision to drive, it responds to everything you do the the steering wheel.Around 2900rs the power comes on and falls off around 6k, With the taller tires and lower gears it takes about 9 seconds to get to the top of third gear, if i dont miss a shift, its hard to do fast with the left hand.
speedo still doesnt work, i need an older sensor, and the exhaust has to be cut to fit, the hood trimmed, and tricking the evap system on the computer, or getting it reprogrammed.

well i ran it down the 1320 last night.
16.012
I blew the clutch on the launch.
I moderatly rolled off the line, as soon as the clutch was fully engaged i steadily increased to wot (i didnt smash on the pedal)
at 4500r's in first gear the car stopped accelerating and the tach kept sweeping to 6500, so i let off, shift to 2nd, and pounded the throttle.
It held great until 4500rs and started slipping again.
Long story short, it does it in every gear, 3/4 to WOT.
MY06 legacy 2.5 pressure plate is just not tuff enough. the clutch disc would probably still work but im just gonna upgrade.
Underdrive LW crank and alt. pullys, LW flywheel and clutch (not sure which brand yet)
anyway, the next post i make will be from Alaska, i'll post pics of it when i can on another posting.

Nicey
Your project is bad ass
. I like it! I was thinking of doing the same thing to mine, but LHD. Is that the EJ20 or the EJ25? Ohh and how much did you spend on the swap alone? Like the Engine/tranny, wiring, driveline, and all of the required parts needed. I just want to know a close estimate, to know what Im getting myself into. If you can
, you should make a list of prices and required parts for the swap; that would be hella cool. Thanks
