Interested in the trans filter but I don't know where to look to see if my car has one. Can you tell me where to look, or better yet, a pic of it installed? Thx!

they were mounted next to the radiator (usually on the drivers side) down low, near the coolant hose.

OK, thanks! I don't recall seeing one on my car but I'll have to check tomorrow (my trouble light just broke and my two flashlights have dead batteries).

How often do the filters have to be changed? And, how easy is it to intall?

its pvc plastic. new oem subaru stock.

Well, I don't have a trans filter on my car. I'm supposing the filter is to be mounted low so as not to have any air lock when the ATF enters. But I don't see a place where it can be mounted. There doesn't appear to be any room for it to be mounted in the engine bay. Is it to be mounted in front of the metal "wall" that the radiator is mounted to (which means it will be just behind the bumper)?

What are the dimensions of the filter? Does it come with a mounting bracket or do I have to fabricate one?
