I think he's funny and his ideas are interesting.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

I like him, I think hes doing some pretty awesome stuff, but I take everything he says with a grain of salt.
Or a boulder.
The difference between a fast car and a fast bike, for instance, is insane. I really dont think its possible to build a subaru to compete with a 1.5L bike unless the subaru was built for the sole purpose of getting from one end of the drag strip to the other. 1.5L bikes run 9s in the quarter mile.

sorry guys i been bizee working dont have very much time to beef with everyone.
so dyno and qmile slips papers you beef eaters want, well dyno i can give after mike from "Innovative Tuning" tunes my new toy

as for q mile, i dont care or like the track becuse it does not feel right when i drag down it, streets are so much better but you will never get a time, the way i base my time is what i beat and what i lose to.
and after mike tunes my car i will ask him to tell you guys what it feels like cuz i all ready know how fast it is.
and this is why i am bizee, winter comes fast in canada, so you got to be really fast to get around big suvs.
99 impreza rs

Street racing for proof of a fast car.... Hmmm, how can I argue? It must be fast if it races? And with that logic, I am faster than many many cars!
Reddevil, Awaiting new heart, will it ever happen?
1990 wagon, EJ25 12.3 @ 116.5 FAST Family wagon getting new motor soon
1992 wagon, wifes daily, high compression
1992 Touring wagon, should I keep it?

Elementree my dear douglas vincent.
i just got that blue car, 1500.00$. striped down ready to become a legacy turbo 5mt car front to back, some minor modifications, sti tmic, sti full exhuste, 2.5L dohc heads? 2.5L sohc heads? or stock heads? ej20k 480cc injectors, vf34, 4pot 2pot, and new piant, piant wheels colour? new tires and sit and wiat for winter to come.
or stick in the h6 eg33 svx motor becuse i dont no what i should do with my svx. also the svx uses the same ecu pins so the autronic can tune that motor also.

I don't disslike Nico. Like others I find him entertaining. However his "big dick swinging" as another member put it, gets really old. I am here to have fun with my car. I am here because it's a community where we help each other out and embrace our shared love of our cars. I am NOT here to proove that I have the biggest baddest build. I am not here to say that I am doing things with my car that noone else has ever done before and claim to be a pioneer and cutting edge.BAC5.2 wrote:Am I the only one on here that likes Nico?
Nico claims these things. But when he's asked to back it up with any sort of empirical evidence, it's always the same song and dance. How many fucking ECU's have we seen the insides of over the past 3-4 years? It's always some story about how he'll post the dyno after the next tune. Where's the sheet from the last tune? Afterall, that's the tune that was fast enough to beat a sport bike, right?
The posturing and the arrogance is what I personally have no head space for. This is doubly true when he comes into a thread like Splinter's and starts talking trash there. If you want to talk about how cool you and your build are, put up your own damned thread. Then I can skip it because I don't care and don't have in thrown in my face in a thread I do care about.
None of this takes away from the neat and interesting things Nico has done with his cars over the years. Just maybe someday he'll get enough genuine self esteem that we don't have to deal with the false arrogance and posturing of a man trying so hard to proove himself good enough to get our approval. Do it because you love it. And share the information because you want to be of service to the community. Anyone posting because they want to say they are the best will ALWAYS get a big fat pppshaw in my book. I may be alone, but I embrace hot rodding cars as a team "sport"...
