I... um... well, nevermind, yeah. Matt said it for me too :)

One thing though, we are ALL here to learn. If we knew everything, we wouldn't be here. I know my Subarus pretty well (I just 0wn3d the Subaru parts test... bad), but there's so much more I need to learn. This is one of the places to do it.

But we don't want to call people Nico. We want to see papers.

If I said I handed an STi his ass in a dragrace in my 130hp Legacy, wouldn't you want to see some proof? I can get my friends to say whatever I want.

Oh, and I wouldn't die for you anymore than you would die for me. We're Internet acquaintances.

Nico,
In America we have an old saying, "Put your money where you mouth is." That means that you back up what you claim. There's none of this bullshit about your internet honor and your word being good enough. If you are going to make wild fantastic claims, people are going to expect you to back up those claims. There is a simple solution to the problem: Stop making the claims and trying so hard to win our approval. Or, if you really want us to believe, produce the paper...

Yeah, seriously...

If you REALLY want to win our approval, you could write something like this:

"I have a 4 door Impreza with a DOHC 2.2 Swap...I don't know what kind of power it is making, because I haven't dynoed it, but I would venture a guess that is is comparable to an STi (or whatever it is comparable to)"

NOT

"My car is the fastest shit in the world, I will be making 1200 awhp when I am done with it, and I am going to school every sportbike on the road, even the ones that run 9's stock. They don't stand a chance with my 3000lb Subaru"

hehehe, sorry Nico, didn't see this post.

no beef.

Very good guy, i'd consider him a close friend. While yes, his typing can be very hard to read, and yes, he does talk smack once in a while :) , i take his knowledge pretty seriously.

I'll pester him to put up a dyno sheet this summer after the autronic is tuned properly.

yeah. . . that $.04 thing. . . not a good comeback. . .

I actually haven't read many of Nico's posts simply because it drives me absolutely insane trying to figure out what he's saying through all the spelling errors and whatnot. In this post, I finally skipped over his responses and just read what other people were saying.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on here, in this "community", so if someone (such as Nico) confidently talks about a project he's working on or is giving advice to someone else, I listen with open ears, as they seem to be more advanced and sophisticated in such areas. However, what I think of Nico is what everyone else says about him. Some say he's entertaining, or funny when trying to sound nice cause they just said he's. . . well. . . not what he claimed to be. . . the problem is. . . I'm not here to read funny stories. . . I'm here to learn. . . and if I'm not learning the right stuff. . . I'm not going to read them at all.

And about the papers and such. . . I don't think it's so much as 'show us the papers or we wont believe you,' like a threat. . . it's that we can't believe you because you don't have them. And it's just a bigger incentive to not take your word for it when you're so content on your high horse bragging about all your 'skill'. . . if you actually accomplished the acclaimed, wouldn't you want to post it on here to shove it in our faces? I'd rather know someone's right because they're a jerk about it rather than trust someone I've never met when all he does is talk and tell people they suck because they want to see proof. If I ever go to the moon, you can bet I'll have a picture or two to back it up. . . then I can shove it in your face. . . until then. . . it's a dream.

Yeah, your Canadian will be worth more than the US dollar soon. Hell, I'm surprised the Egyptian pound isn't worth almost as much. I love my government!

Which all begs the question of whether or not when Nico claims a HP number, he hasn't used Canadian math and done that conversion wrong as well...

Yeah, maybe Canadian horses are smaller or produce less work (too cold, perhaps). Maybe he also races sport bikes on snow or ice in which case I easily believe he takes them and he doesn't even need to use boost.

I have to add that although I dont have a "beef" with Nico and although I know for sure there is not and ignore button anywhere on this site, I STILL look for one evertime I read one of his posts. Some of you say that he is brings something to the community but I would have to argue that due to the fact that I dont trust anything he says. That being said, how would I know that any of his mods or engine builds actually ran. I mean sure I have seen pictures of his car but has anyone seen any vids? I have a friend who is alot like Nico, he is a good guy but he really was not shown enough love and attention from his mother growing up. this has made him an attention whore to the point where he feels the need to buy a new car every 6 months or less just to show all his friends the new car. I suggest that Nico calls his mother and tells her that he loves her and waits for her to tell him back no matter how long it takes...
