Laurel was a VERY sweet girl that a bunch of idiots scared away with their ignorance. She bought a Corvette and apparently Corvettes are cause for a stoning on this board.

Matt, I read the threads. She sold her t-wagon, bought a C4 Vette, and got blown out of the water with redneck and mullet comments. I wish I had been there to stand up for her. It was truly sickening, the things otherwise good members were saying. I haven't been able to get in touch with her since then, and its a shame. It was like a fucking salem witch trial. She bought a Vette and got stoned to death.

In Nico's defence, his car does run... and it is disgustingly fast.

He helped me build up my car (turbo and intercooler install), and I have had no problems with the work we did.

When time comes for the injectors and tune, he'll be helping me again, and i will be going to the same tuner he uses, because i've been able to compare his car before and after the tune.

Whatever the silly reason his typing is so poor, he's very knowledgeable and friendly in person.

Some of you say that he is brings something to the community but I would have to argue that due to the fact that I dont trust anything he says. That being said, how would I know that any of his mods or engine builds actually ran. I mean sure I have seen pictures of his car but has anyone seen any vids? I have a friend who is alot like Nico, he is a good guy but he really was not shown enough love and attention from his mother growing up. this has made him an attention whore to the point where he feels the need to buy a new car every 6 months or less just to show all his friends the new car. I suggest that Nico calls his mother and tells her that he loves her and waits for her to tell him back no matter how long it takes...

For those of us whom knew her in person, she turned very ugly and started verbally bashing us to an extreme extent...essentially alienating the majority of her friend-base (all of that happened long before the whole Corvette thing)

I just wish Nico would post results so you could compare the stuff he does to what other people are doing. Not so much because I don't believe him, but it would be nice to say, "Wow, that reflashed chip he got from that dude let him get xxxx for only nnnn money. Beats a stand alone for a daily driver." Or, "Whoa, he's beating 2-3 lbs/hp superbikes with only 300 HP! Does he know a superbike from a moped?"

The whole Laurel incident made me sad. I watched the Vette thread in the classified and felt like a pack of wolves was ripping her apart. I don't know what happened locally or the history with Art. I always thought they were both great members of the community. It's a shame it all blew up...

Nobody outside a relationship really knows what goes on with the people in it or all their feelings, history, etc. that contributes to everything that makes it what it is. Sometimes people just change, sometimes there's all kinds of shit going on that nobody has a clue about.

I once dumped a perfectly decent girl just because, for whatever reason, she put me in a bad mood whenever she was around. There was nothing that she did or said, it was totally some kind of bad chemistry or I don't know what, but I couldn't even tell you what it was, never mind anyone outside the relationship. Sometimes I feel like a cat - how they could be sleeping peacefully, then all of a sudden jolt awake, look around, and bolt from the room like it was on fire. I hide it better than a cat, but that's how I feel with some relationships (and other times just being somewhere too long or a place where kids are present). I never know when it will hit and ignoriing the feeling turns me into an even more miserable prick than usual, which doesn't help anyone.

Whatever it was, I thought it was completely inappropriate for anyone else to be involved, especially in that manner, and especially here.

My girlfriend is unhealthily obsessed with Chipotle.

I remember her saying she wanted the employee shirt that said "I Marinated The Chicken Last Night," so, for her birthday in April, I actually pulled some strings and got a connection into a local Chipotle (a friend knew someone who worked there) and he sweet-talked the manager into selling me one. Unfortunately, the only one they had at that store was the one that said "I Made The Guacamole Last Night," but she said that I at least had my foot in the door and could trade that shirt for the Chicken one at a later date when they would get a new shipment of shirts in.

I kept calling her back every couple of weeks to see if any had came in, and there was no luck. Tried again, and found out that she no longer worked there , so I talked to the new manager, who was cool, but revealed to me that they weren't using those shirts anymore since they had changed the design.

So my only option was to just run around to as many Chipotle restaurants that I knew of and to keep asking the managers if maybe they had one last Chicken shirt in the back somewhere, and I've been unsuccessful thus far :(

Nonetheless, Chipotle still f'ing rocks. Not only is the food excellent, but it's FILLING. A Burrito Bol with extra meat is just about all I can eat.

GOTTA get the Chicken Fajita Bol. Pico De Gallo, Corn salsa, a LITTLE bit of the hot salsa, a LOT of cheese, and a LOT of sour cream. Toss on a little lettuce for some coldness, and your set. That's good shit right there.

As for the chipotle shirts:

No chicken one, but I like the "illegal" one.

I usually get a fajita burrito with barbacoa, hot salsa, cheese, and guacamole.

A pregnant lady at the one I go to has a shirt with "(not a burrito)" across it. I thought that was pretty hilarious.

Chipotle and In-n-Out are pretty much the only places we go to lunch. Good thing I only go out twice a week or so. Today I brought a sandwich.
