intercooling
sorry about this Ive tried research... I have a big FMIC... ive mounted it cut everything out an its all snug into my bumper.... Ive found how id like to pipe it an want not an have ordered some pipe... now I need a MBC an a BOV...
Money is kinda tight as Im 16 an going to highschool while doing this all myself in the garage. I know there is a difference between a bypass valve and a blow off valve... if im correct then the bypass valve is constantly open thus it must be ented back throught the intake. A blow off valve is not open all the time and only opens when u shift or let off the gas....thus it will only run rich just after boost has bin made ??.... so my second question is will any ebay "blow off alve" work or do I have to check to makesure its not a bypass valve an also I noice how to plum it into the intercooler pipeing but still have no idea how to go about hooking the blow off valve to my intake or turbo.
Also does i really make a hugh difference which MBC I get or can I just get a cheap one... i know it wont ave a ceramic ball or anything but like I said moneys kinda tight as Im also trying to paint the car and do the exhaust right now
thanks for your time

First, you need to space things out when you type or it gets hard to read....
A good mbc will have the spring set so the valve closes if the spring breaks - instead of letting you boost away.... Research before you buy....
Trust me on this - unless you have the PROPER engine management for it, the absolute last thing you want is a bov - you WANT and NEED a bpv.
When you run atmospheric (non-recirculating) your car will run super rich after every shift causing all sorts of problems....
Its easy to say, "yeah, it will only make it run rich here or there..." but when your car runs as if a 400lb fat chick is jumping up and down on your hood, you wont be happy....

A good MBC is only like 70 bucks. It's worth it.
You're right about the BPV and BOV. You can recirculate some BOV's though. You could reuse the stock BPV. I would. I ran my stock valve atm. when I installed my TMIC and yes, it runs wrong/crappy.
I say buy good MBC, and reuse the stock valve. You can buy a piece of IC pipe with a hole in the side to attach your valve to, just install it close to the throttle body.
EDIT: Here's a pic of how your stock bypass valve could be hooked up. This is on a TMIC, but same principle for a front mount:

thanks guys... do you think it be a problem to run my stock bpv for
the time being im not looking to run over 12 PSI. The manual
boost controller I bought was a cheapy but i did makesure that if
the screw loosened off it didnt throw my boost up.... if the screw
loosens off or anything like that the boost level will drop to stock.
I know this is kinda irrelavent to the questions ive had befor but i
bought my car second hand, the guy had an engine put in and did
a shitty job IMO. half of the vacum lines are either broke or none
existant. I have fixed them all with the exception on the charcoal
canister and a vent line. I cannot for the life of me find out were
this line goes. Its at the front of the passangers side valve cover,
runs back along the valve cover until it reachs the back side ( were
the other vent line is that runs to the intake) then abruptly ends
with a T on the end. Im thinking this must go somewere and is
causeing me a boost leak

hehe, you took me a little too seriously.... I meant that you basically shouldnt clump huge sentences together....
I would actually go outside and take a picture for you right now, but I have a feeling your car being a factory turbo will be different than mine....

that hose is a crank case breather hose, it connects behind the alt and then connects to the drivers side valve cover at the back. 3 connections total, and they are connected by a weird plastic tee. Subaru and their weirdass plastic pieces...

I have a wideband attached to my car right now - I had the bov going atmospheric and the car ran like total shit... Went crazy rich after every shift and bogged when in the next gear.
Plumbed the bov for recirculating and even with the air leaks I have, the car ran almost perfect.
My air leaks have since grown and the car is running rich again....
Jb weld sucks a lot of the time, but its perfect for stuff thats already tack welded on and just needs to be sealed....
