Ok so why the hell do i care about the length of a stock downpipe (EJ22T) VS. the length of a stock WRX downpipe???? Well, on deceleration, i have some broken baffles in the "cat" on my downpipe and it rattles horribly between 3k and 2k RPM. I want aftermarket everything soon (headers, up-pipe, downpipe, and all the way to the exhaust tip) but i have a chance of scoring a stock WRX downpipe right now for pretty much nothing....
...and it would get rid of my exhaust rattle... until the aftermarket fairy comes and leaves an exhaust system under my pillow (imagine waking up to that..... turn your head.. KONG!!!!!!!!....what the....SWEET!!! HEADERS!!!!!!!!!! *wipes road grime off of pj's*)
......my car would sound SO GOOD.... if it werent for that stupid rattle......
......................and i KNOW its in the downpipe. with it off, you can shake it and hear the broken plates. grrrrrrrr....
So! i remember reading about the WRX exhaust systems and the 3" spacer needed because of the longer wheelbase on my Touring Wagon, hence my question about the downpipe... i didnt know if it was the cat back exhaust that was not long enough... or the downpipe.
THANKS for looking!!!!!!!!!
