1992 White Legacy Wagon $3750 Why so much for an older wagon, read on!
I bought this station wagon with the express purpose of fixing it and selling. It is a very clean, well taken care vehicle. But it had a bad clutch. So I got it for a fair price.
Original intentions were to simply replace the timing belt and clutch. But the motor was shot…so…. I rebuilt a motor for it.
Here is the list of NEW parts on this clean wagon.
New piston rings installed
New/rebuilt cylinder heads
New head gaskets
New valve cover seals
New rear main seal
New front main seal
New cam shaft seals
New timing belt
New timing belt idlers
Rebuilt oil pump
New spark plugs
New spark plug wires
New thermostat
New throw out bearing
New clutch disk and pressure plate
New flywheel and bearing
New front and rear brakes
Replaced bad axle, so all axles are good.
Yeah I pretty much did everything. This wagon is nicer than all the other Subarus I personally own (4). I am a highly qualified hobby Subaru mechanic who has rebuilt many Subaru motors and vehicles over the years.
So, as it stands, I am asking $3750 for this wagon. For an additional $250, I will repaint the front and rear bumpers as they are the only real eyesore on the wagon as they have some scratches, no dents.
Also, if you want, I can replace all 4 struts with NEW struts for an additional cost ($150 plus cost of struts).
The rest of the good.
Blaupunkt CD player, decent speakers.
Great shape 14” tires, about 10k on them, on Factory Alloy rims.
155,000 miles on the blue body and interior.
CLEAN interior. I won’t let my kids in it, I promise!
Very clean white exterior. The body and trim will be detailed. If you buy it before I detail it, I will knock off $150.
OK, the bad…
No AC. The AC compressor was seized. But if you get a new compressor, I will install for free later on. But I can’t charge it, someone AC qualified would have to do that.
No cruise control. Only Legacy I have seen that doesn’t have it. Sorry.
Um.. That’s it for the bad.
