Boost...

okay guys so I have a 92 SS 5 speed. bought it for 1000 bucks, new engine etc, its throwing a knock sensor code.

I ordered the knock sensor along with, 4-1 headers ( manifold was FUCT beyond repair I tried lol), 3" catless exhaust (have highflow), front mount intercooler, aluminum 2.5" pipeing for intercooler, manual boost controller, car is desnorkled, K & N drop in filter, coffee cup mod, boost + oil presure guage. not to mention 16" rims its slammed etc...

I love the car but since I bought the car 3 months ago it has not bin able to boost anymore then 5 psi.... it hits 5 quick but then it just stops snap on right on 5... I think I am ready to hit 12 Psi an from research feel I have everything I need to do so (opinions please) but I wonder why my car wont hit 8.7 like it says its supposed to boost stock.... if this is the case then could I turn my boost up until it read 12 on the guage.... the turbo guys in town dont suspect my guage but feel I have a boost leak or something.

I have checked all vacum lines and intake lines I cant find anything... the guage doesnt flutter at all it just hits a steady 5 and is smooth... I was just curious if maybe the knock sensor code limits it at 5 PSI because with more boost presure you further risk detonation and such... if anyone can help it would be greatly apprciated... thanks

It's limiting your boost...probably because of your CEL...it is going into limp mode...also...when you have a code 22 (knock sensor) the ECU pulls a shitload of timing, which makes the car pretty nutless
