93 SS WRX Springs

Post by smh0101 »

Okay I am totally lost. My current setup is 03 WRX Struts and Springs. This setup raised it quite a bit. So now I have an Outback turbo Legacy without a raised roof.

So I want it back to atleast stock height. I figure 1.5 in lowered would be a good amount.

I have searched and searched and searched and am having trouble "putting it all together" and need some pointers on which brands and what spec springs.

I guess what I really need to know is what year WRX parts will I need?
Thx
~Spencer

Just curious if I read correctly. You installed 03 WRX springs and struts and it raised your car?
How much did it raise your car? I'm interested because I want to raise my turbo wagon for the winter season. Pics greatly appreciated.

that is very similar to the pictures I've see of GC imprezas with V7 STi parts.

Apparently the problem comes from using the stock spring perches, which seem to be taller. Unfortunately there isn't really anything else you can do aside from mixing and matching springs, which I would not recommend.

Or actually something 1st gen may work. Can you try your stock springs?

By stock spring perches you mean the OEM Legacy ones?

I dont think the installer used the original spring perches but I would have to check to be certain.

he must have as the only other way to get that stuff to fit is to file out the bolt holes in the rear strut tower.
