I am building a hybrid JDM EJ20 NA legacy block with 22T heads, and I am putting a stock legacy turbo on it, and t leg pink injectors.
Do I need more fuel running 8-10 psi intercooled???
I was thinking perfect power, or emanage....
Do I even need a piggy back?

EJ20 short block, 2.2T heads, legacy turbo, stock 2.2 ECU. Full 3" turbo back exhaust, JDM AWIC, 8 psi.
Runs Great!!!

First off, you are going to need to CONTROL fuel - not necessarily add more... You are probably going to have to trim here/add there...
On an n/a ecu you are also going to have to retard timing - ESPECIALLY when boost comes in....
Im running a hybrid setup on an ej22 n/a ecu. I am regretting not having purchased an emanage ultimate from the beginning....
Some people have issues with the pp6 so I would probably advise against it...
I am waiting on my new programmable msd dis2 and already have a safc II in the car....
I can control fuel and timing this way, but its an awkward way of doing things....
I would really say get an ultimate - theres so much support for it, its supposedly easy to use, and its damn cheap when you try to price anything else out....

The stock computer runs 8-9 psi.Legwerx wrote:How hard is it to install the factory ecu? How much boost can i run with the stock turbo comp? Thanks
I am currently running a pp6, and it's all in how it is set-up.
I have no issues with it.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

Well I ran into a mega squirt stand alone unit for about the price of an emanage, so I am gonna run that.
My buddy is gonna wire it (has built harneses from scratch) to where the stock ecu controls the timing, and squirt only controls the fuel, as I am not sure it can control this type of ignition....
The factory ECU figures it's timing using the knock sensor, cam, and crank position sensors, will this not retard the timing for me?
