That SAE document is a really good read. Reccomended to all Subie gear heads. Although re-reading it today after Matt's comment on the stated redline I want to do some searching about the problems with the Leggy style heads.

Yea, that's really confusing me, since the RS-RA, which is just a modified EJ20G, stock redlines at 7500, and I was intending on revving it up to 8000 to take advantage of my bigger turbo

Ditto... I was thinking, who the hell steals stuff like that and sets explosives near it. Duh, you don't put explosives near a nicely built up motor when you've just stolen it. (yes, I'm being a severe smartass, not a dumbass)
