There is nothing such as "good and cheap", but can anyone recommend a
suitable price for a BOV, and whatever parts are needed to have it
installed. Don´t know (=understand) if it makes any difference, but I
have the EJ20 engine...

Oops I did it again... (why does that sound so familiar?), once again
I got caught for not knowing my car... what else is new!
You see, I thought that there was no BOV as standard, and that it's
among the first parts to add to your car when working on the
performance. Anyway, a Blow-off valve is the same as a dump valve...
or am I wrong again? I found a couple of sites where they sell
these..."gadgets"... and would like to hear you opinions on what's
worth it and what's not. How'bout it John G, do you have any comment
regarding this?
check these sites, just as examples:

Any BOV recommendations?
There is a bit of debate on which is best, but the Bailey Motorsport BOV
works very well and is designed for performance rather than making noise
- no adjustment required initially or ongoing
- sells for about USD100
- far superior in operation to cheaper sources that leak or continually need
adjustment
- makes a "moderate" amount of noise
Check...

You realise all EJ20's have a BOV? They vent and recirculate back to the
intake, rather than vent to atmosphere... and they have been known to leak
and be unreliable

Responded to much of below in an earlier reply, but "Yes" a BOV goes by a
few names... dump valve being one of them.
