Auto to manual drive line coversion can it be done
Ok,
so im doing a auto to 5speed swap in my 1991 ss and i have the tranny about to go in. In order to make it work i cant seem to find a manual drive line SO i have a friend who works for a local driveline shop dose anyone know how long the auto drive like is and can it be custom cut and ballanced to work for a manual tranny? If so dose anyone have the mesurements it would save me alot of time and trouable of someone has done this before with the measurements thanks.

WRONG!!!!
I tried to put a late 90's driveline front section on a 94 TW...and it definately didn't work...
Word on the street is the Impretzel is a different length too.

I mean...I ain't the factory service manual...but I know that the driveline section I got out of a late 90's Outback 5MT car was too long for the 94 Touring Wagon with a 4.11 JDM Turbo Gearbox

You said driveline section. Did you get the entire driveline, or just one of the sections and try to use it?555BCTurbo wrote:I mean...I ain't the factory service manual...but I know that the driveline section I got out of a late 90's Outback 5MT car was too long for the 94 Touring Wagon with a 4.11 JDM Turbo Gearbox

Hmm, my center bearing is going out and a new one is $300 (special tools required to take the end off too). Aarons auto wrecking (only subaru junk yard around here) will sell me a entire drive line for ~$150. Which length/type one should I get? Ok, sure suppose I should just to measure each section and call him up... but would be easier to say I need a drive line from X model subaru
